This spherical panorama was taken in Chernivtsi, in the autumn of 2011. In the frame you can see the Holovna Street and the Sholom Aleichem Street that look as the river which is cut by the "nose" of double-decked ship called («das Schiff», that means the ship in German). This original house-boat has been "anchored" in Chernivtsi in the XIX century. It’s interesting that the house called «Shifa» has a kind of "galley" in the basement premises; there is a mess-room with observation deck on the second floor, and above there is the "pilothouse" with the exit to the "bridge". And there is "the main mast" over the whole building-ship. Quite near, on the corner of the School you can see the first stone house in Chernivtsi called the General's house, built in 1780. Then we can see the monument to the 600th anniversary of Chernivtsi, which was opened on the 4th of October, 2008. On the opposite side of the street there is located the building of Chernivtsi regional puppet theater, which is a historical monument of the local value called «Colonel house», that is the second stone house in Chernivtsi, built in 1782. To the left of the puppet theatre is a building of administration of MIA of Ukraine in Chernivtsi region. To the right of the puppet theatre there is also the Roman Catholic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, built in 1814. On the tower of the Church we can see a working clock that is in good order, and on the side wall of the temple there is a sundial, which are also in working condition, but shows only Vienna time.
