Rest on the Dniester
Dniester is one of the largest rivers of Ukraine, which extends from the Northern slopes of the Carpathians down to the coast of the warm Black sea. The length of a meandering river Dniester is 1362 km, and the source of this river begins in the Lviv region, from a small mountain brook.
The Dniester has a mountain and obstinate nature of the upstream and becomes calmer from Galich. The river crosses such regions of Ukraine as Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytsky, and even it covers a part of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, flowing on the side of Moldova. The Dniester is the wide and navigable river, and it is rightly called the second most important waterway of Ukraine.
The Dniester river is truly a unique river and its valley is included in the list of the seven natural wonders of Ukraine. Valley of the Dniester has the structure of the canyon, and the look of it can shake your imagination. Local landscapes are not just beautiful - they are amazing and unusual, this place is the only one in the world. The canyon stretches 250 km between the mouths of the Zolota Lypa and Zbruch and is the most attractive part of the river. The canyon is a valley of the river Dniester, which twists in meanders, and its shores are dotted with rocks and delaminations of ancient rocks.
Dniester canyon amazes with its beauty and originality, the nature here is so fascinated that you’ll want to enjoy it more and more. Left banks of the canyon are higher and grow amazing plants, many of which are relic and rare.
It is noteworthy that the Dniester canyon boasts are famous by their uniqueness – there are different samples of delaminations that belong to Silurian and Devonian periods, which adjoin with the young anthropogenic sedimentary strata.
